Arrival

Hi kids,

I got to New Orleans safe and sound. I flew to a city called Atlanta and then had to drive 10 hours to New Orleans. I was tired!

It is good to be back home. Everyone is nice. People I do not know talk to me on the street and ask me how I am doing. A man in a store today started singing. Yesterday, three women came out of a shop singing. Music is in the air here.

I think about you and Pascale all the time. I took some pictures for you. Remember you can click on them to make them bigger.

I used to live here in Jackson, Mississippi - three hours north of New Orleans. I went to high school there (grades 8 to 12).

This is my high school. You can see that they have a fence around it. No one can get in who does not go to school there. These pictures do not look a lot like Germany.

Now this is a picture of a playground down the street from where I am staying in New Orleans.

This looks more like Germany.

Ok, I know that is a lot of reading, so I will write you tomorrow. Give Pascale a hug from me! And remember that you can write a comment back to me by clicking on the button "Comment."

Love,
